COMPLETE PROCESS FOR INTERNATIONAL NURSES EMPLOYMENT IN THE UK
- Pre-screening: Initial contact to assess suitability by checking skills, qualifications, experience and English language proficiency.
- Interview: Online video interview or in-person interview where possible.
- Compliance: Checking valid passport, proof of address, police clearance certificate, references, educational qualifications including nursing degree.
- English language: IELTS – academic a minimum overall level of 7 is required, a level 6.5 in writing will be accepted alongside a level 7 in reading, listening and speaking).
- CBT: Need to pass the CBT. It is a computer-based multiple-choice exam, which tests your theoretical practice-based knowledge. You’ll need to answer 120 questions and achieve a score of 66 % to pass the exam.
- NMC: Application for Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
- Certificate of sponsorship: You need a certificate of sponsorship for visa application.
- Visa Application: we will help you to complete the visa application process to enable you to live and work in the UK.
- Arrival in the UK: We will make the necessary arrangements for your accommodation for the 1st month.
- Induction: You will attend a comprehensive induction with a new employer in the UK. It introduces the values and objectives of the organisation so that staff feel like part of the team as quickly as possible
- OSCE: Within three months from the employment start date noted on the certificate of sponsorship (CoS) sit in the OSCE exam. During this period you will be legally employed as a pre-registration candidate.
- NMC PIN: Upon successful completion of the OSCE you will receive NMC PIN as a fully qualified registered UK nurse.
